Deary me, what sad cases some of you lot can be when it comes to any form of criticism towards the board, if some of you spent as much time honeing your fishing skills instead of been glued to your monitors NESA would have some of its own top class match anglers to post on the board and not have to day dream what it would be like to have our southern cousins posting the occasional thread .

P.S Big h who is aahaskins???

I dunno lads, maybe “silvers” has a point.
This IS, after all, just a fishing website, primarily dealing with the North East coast.

Perhaps I should realise its’ limitations, be content with where we are now and NOT try to help it grow into something bigger.

Maybe we should ALL take a leaf out of “silvers” book and NEVER try to improve on ANYTHING.

Everything is fine and dandy just the way it is – why on earth try to change it?

BUT…..

The problem is, “silvers”, things always need to change, to grow, to improve; even people.

The whole idea of having somebody running a website is based upon continuous development. If I didn’t have ideas, aspirations and goals for the site, then I’d be failing not only Elton, the site owner, but all the NESA members (including yourself).

When I take on a job, I give it 110% and that means setting a high target of performance and achievement – for both myself AND the job in question.

If the site was being run by somebody, (not unlike yourself) with low aspirations and a complacent outlook on under-achieving, then I fear that NESA would’ve gone down the hi-tech version of the Swannie, a long time since.

Oh dear.....we do seem to get \'em from time to time.

As you can see from my previous post, I was trying to be nice ;)

However, when I came to post it, I was confronted by the total shite which was silvers LAST post.

Consequently, it\'s a case of...... Hi-Ho Silver\'s away :exclam:

Note: forgot to mention it but I was tipped off by Elton a wee while ago about a knacker he\'d banned from some of his sites and that he may try to get onto NESA. Seems he was banned for constantly stirring the excrement and NEVER having ANYTHING to say - looks like this bloke had the same M.O. so this is another of Eltons\' sites he\'s got the heave-ho from (if it WAS him, that is - if not, then we may get another....lol). If a second one does come on to the Board, I can pass him silvers\' IP No. and they can visit sites as a pair of knackers. :P

Damn, why do i always miss the good stuff, haven\'t played Troll Baiting in ages :(

silvers - your mam says it\'s past your bedtime, you\'ve got school in the morning...

TC, did you put your executioners hood on before beheading the foul creature? :)

TC. an excellent piece of work well done it needs to be shown to everybody concerned even the minister of sport, NFSA that most anglers are caring people especially the anglers in the north east.

We all except constructive criticism but negative we do not if these people want to do something let them build there own sites and try and emmulate the excellant site that NESA is.

The bugger can\'t read properly anyway, don\'t know how he mistook me for Brian !!!!!!! lolol

\"I\'d dearly love to see the day when NESA has become so well known and recognised that we have the likes of Alan Yates, Dave Lewis, Neil McKellow, Roger Bayzand, John Wilson and the like, sporting NESA badges on their clothing and posting on the Board (even if only occassionally).......lol\"

Well actually........I recieved an e-mail tonight, and it seems that, well.....you never know who could be lurking or posting under assumed names.......do you ? ;)

lmao. My mother always had a strange sense of humour. My sister willamena says the same. Our Walter isn\"t bothered though.

With Reference to the press Quote - Am I right in thinking that the fundraising for Bryony took place under the NESA banner with major efforts being made by Andy Winter, JB and many others or was it conducted through Andy\'s site. Maybe worth including in the press release?

Totally agree with you Ell about the Bryony Appeal and those who were instrumental in its\' success.

However, due to the circumstances of the appeal and respecting the wishes of Bryonys\' family, it was agreed at the time that publicity would not be sought. This was to avoid the inevitible intrusions upon the family by the press.

That\'s the only reason (and it\'s a BIG one) why I\'ve not mentioned our 1st foray into fund raising.

Maybe we should ALL take a leaf out of “silvers” book and NEVER try to improve on ANYTHING.

to quote the creatives at Ogilvy and Mather:

why invent light bulbs when candles are \'ok\'
