Hello lads tried a new spot for first time yesterday Blyth pier. Thought it was a cracking mark.
Took the TT looking for cod and the Bass rod for close in. And it was action from the start. Coalies and some big ones and one whitey. My biggest Coaly at 36 cm.

Caught 10 in all with the Bass outfit getting about 8. Mussel was the bait. No cod but sea was flat.
My mate Ian fared well with 7-8 fish and only one rod his trusty Diawa whisker. He had Coalies, whities and also a nice flatty which was probabaly a flounder or Dab but i suspected might be a lemon sole?.

Tight lines Mick.

Flounder mate it has the distinctive yellow spots and the lateral line. Good spot if you can get through all the coalies eating ya bait, better luck for the cod next time.

Well done on ya session mick, good sport had by u and ya mate. Nice one :).

Also, the flatty your mate caught in the picture, it is neither a sole and definately ain't a flounder. Its a Dab, and a nice one at that! ;)

Blyth pier always fishes best with a nice sea running mick. Was plenty of good fish taken with the last big seas on. Nice fish anyways

Thats a nice dab Mick. You will have to give BLACKRAT some lessons on how to fish Blyth Pier.

What was the point of me fishing for tiddlers like you Fozzy. Anyway. Nxt time you will see me will be Kent. When I fish for what's in front of me. Oh yes I won the Nationals last time it was there. You can stand nxt to me and be photographed if you like. Lol
