Out from Amble this morning, it was hard work with the wind and lumpy swell. Pleased I fitted tall hand rails :o Managed about ten cod, kept half a doz, best was just over 6lb bait was frozen softies and prawn. Most were stuffed with crab.
I was well pleased especially with the six pounder. Shame it was a such a short session though, as the wind died just as I was heading back to Amble.

Heard the wind blowing through the trees early morning so didn't bother till later, but seems you made the right call. 6lber is a nice fish anytime. nice one.:D

Yer Arthur, heard the wind as well, but I had no option but to give it a go. As the afternoon was spoken for :(
The six pounder was a nice surprise, still can't believe how well cod fight on light gear. Got to thank you for posting those videos as I wouldn't have thought about going so light until I saw them.
