Blueys do the job.

Fished the flood at ratty. Using blueys for the first time after reading loads of good reports about them. Turned out to be true. First cast and every cast after that resulted in a good size whitey. They were biting very hard and had a cracking afternoon, best one in a while. Used a three hook flapper and did not seem to matter how small i went with bait they still went mad for it. Tried some bigger baits on bigger rigs but no cod. Had peeler too but bites died on that. Will be using bluey again for sure. Very oily and loads of scent. Also very cheap. All in all good sport and a good session. :red:

nice sesh mate well done, the river is where the fish are at the moment,we use bluey quite alot, you get value for money,3fish for 2.40 i think it is,mind you theres not alot of bait left on hook after ive tied it on:(:(

LOL @Paul I try to keep mackerel and bluey baits a bit frozen it helps when tying it on hook, it also keeps the smell away kind-of. Cracking session Marky, it makes ya wonder when the expensive crab keeps coming back untouched and the cheap fish baits keep landing the fish. Sods law.
