arrived at the whole in the wall 6.15 am ,on the water for 7
with ian sleeping in and still getting ready me and toonbay [neil]
headed out and were straight into the mackeral around the ends of blyth pier then a new member turns up think he was called chris and caught his first mackeral off the yak well done

headed out around the back of the pier but nothing happening
then neil headed to the wreck
me and chris headed out to the killing fields to see ian getting a couple of cod and then keith was into a few smaller ones
had my first cod on a twin tail about 4 1/2 lb
was going to try and get over to the wreck but the drift was just too fast or i was too lazy to paddlle over to see neil
headed a bit closer in to the pier and dropped down a big crab bait and as it hit the bottom ,bang straight into a good cod
knew this was a good one as it gave a great fight
got it to the top ,and in the yak
weighed at home 8LB 3 OZ a new pb for me
