Fished the first 3 hours of the flood on the peeping toms Blyth. Used big baits and 4/0 pennell to try and tempt a cod but no luck. lots of rattles though, I reckon could have had a few small'uns with lighter gear and small fish baits. Got a canny bite that I thought was a cod but turned out to be just under 2lb coalie. A nice bonus and fought well. Took a pic of the sunset just before we left.http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s442/e2egance/IMAG0065.jpg

fished blyth pier many times always had good results from the bend on the wooden jetty. just behind the breakers asthe tide came in-----anyway keep trying it will happen one day you will hit that cod you would like to pull in ok:mad:

The rocks that run parallel to the pier so you cast from the rocks into the deep river channel. The stone jetty gives good cover from the elements as well. Best to fish the start of the flood.
1 of my fav arks m8 i used 2 fish it alot but chucking up the left of the skeer plain lead on the ebb & gripper on the flood but loss alot of lead.
