Blyth Beach 08/12/06

Just back from the beach, I fished an hour after high water for a couple of hours, only had one decent bite but it lead to my first size bass

A bloke to my right had loads of bites but didn't land anything, four young lads fishing to my left apparently had four codlings all about 2lb (all caught by one lad I think) and a whiting.

It emptied out very quickly and I couldn't be bothered to wait until the sand bank was accessible.

I'm not sure one fish is "going well" but I'm enjoying getting out in the fresh air and the craic.

Keith it took me ages before I got a bass in size and I'm sure there a few lads on here still trying .
