Blyth Beach with fish, lol!

Things seem to be slowing now as far as fishing is concerned, it's just that time of year I think.

With a good swell running onto the beaches I decided to try my luck at Blyth over low tide. Ragworm was the bait on a 3/0 pulley pennel. The sea looked huge but just before low tide the hole infront of me flattened off and became fishable for a short while.

Result was two fish, first a small codling of a pound and a half and then a better one at 6lb, my best this season.

I'd have been well happy with a small bass which was what I had in mind so the cod really made my day. First time this year on the beach to, great stuff.

Tightlines Dave.

Well done Dave. On Blyth pier last night and canny sea on.
Mick.

Aye Mick, your match must have finished about 10pmish? I walked past you all then and had a couple of chucks on the pier for an hour or so but it was dire so packed up and went home earlier than expected.
