This morning 4 am till 6.30 ish.
Never fished blyth over top water and only had my daughters carp rod as vicflange is taking care of my proper rod. Had some weird rubbery things me mam brought back from Oz visiting my brother and some squid from morrisons. Wasn't expecting anything tbh and just fancied seeing the sun rise. Nowt first chuck then a flounder bout 1/ half just before top. Second cast with squid on my single size 2 flowing trace maybe thirty yards out and BANG ! Connected and it stripped my little fixed spool, got it under control and managed to get a bass about 2 pound to the surf at which point it snapped me. Was weed on the line too and woulda let it go anyway. Got another flounder bit smaller than first then packed up and went back to bed. Vicflange gets bass all the time but am still a bass virgin!
