I had a last minute sesh and fished blyth harbour ( Cambois side ) yesterday afternoon for about 3 hrs. weather was rubbish and the fishing wasnt much better either. i got 3 small coalies baits used was fresh lug mackerel strip and a few sandeels. I only took the one rod yesterday because i didnt fancy spinning. i wish i had of took the spinner now cos the bait wasnt doing much. Still beats a blank anyday. cheers alan

So if you ever see a daft lad with a spinning rod hoying a spinner in then thats me.Ive already had a couple of shots over the last couple of weeks and ive had some funny looks like off folk and a few comments"you'll never catch mackerel here"
Ive actually got a bet on with the missus for £20 that i get one out of that river so its made me more determind!!!

i know a lad who got a couple from where i was fishing yesterday last year. the jettys on cambois side next to alcan

Ive had loads of macky out the harbour, next to the old lifeboat station around high tide should get you a few.
