Fished the pier between 7 and 10 with lures and bait (rag and mackrel). Not a sniff anywhere apart from one lad early on pulling a nice herring in about 2 lb. Aint blanked on the pier for a while but nevermind hey. Water clarity was poor think the dredger last week and big tides could be the answer or im just rubbish dunno lol

Yeah probz was coddy only got a glimpse before it went back mate. Ive only ever caught one herring and it was small and never caught a shad . Fish recognition is not my best area lol cos ive only been back into fishing about a yr and im used to fishing around merseyside and dont get either there ??
