went to blyth pier to use up some left over bait from last night.
7.30-9.30pm.

had a few small knocks, but nothing came from it.
last cast produced a 2.5-3lb codling. would have stayed a wee bit longer but ran out of worms lol

bait was rag, razzor and mackerel

when i got home and cleaned up the codling it was full of sprats!

quite a few guys on there tonight. from what i was told, it had been quiet with only a few small fish.

just over 7lb of cod in 24hrs, im over the moon.

i stoped sea fishing years ago as it was always quiet, glad to come back and have a few fish to build up confidence :)
thats probs all i will get in 2009 haha

didnt get a thing today.
had a few small rattles but they came to nothing, think it may have been whiting the way the baits came back.

i never seen anything decent come in, just undersize fish :(

were the guys still fishing off the end of the north pier??

i was going to go there on tuesday night for our comp, its a high water comp. but im not sure now.
Just hope we get a bit of sea running before then.

I was fishing at the bend so didn't see if anyone was on the other pier, although I thought I saw a light about 3 windmills down. Lots of blokes along from me to the end, but when I left at 9 no-one had anything size. It's forecast strong s/easterly later tonight & tomorrow - hopefully the sea will lift a bit before it goes back s/westerly on Monday. :)

good stuff :)

i think mine was the only decent sized fish off there yesterday, last cast wonder. i had just handed over what was left of my bait to the guys next to me! haha

i was on the bend this afternoon, all i got was the start of a cold :(

myself and a pal fished blyth pier tonight 23rd at the end. we started at 5 45 and finished at 11.00pm did not get a sniff.bait used lug crab rag razor and mussel:(

were you the guy i was talking to about this site??

the pier is hitty missy at the min, we need a bit of sea to spice things up, im sure the wind is due to change tonight and tomorrow so it may pick up a wee bit ;D
hope it does for my comp on tuesday night, im stuck on where to go for a high water comp! haha pier was going to be one option

haha, he just missed the fish i got on my last cast.
he came down for a chat, a few mins after he left i got that fish.

there were a good number of rods there on saturday, should have at least been a few fish :(
