Blyth pier 24-8-12

Fished blyth pier yesterday for a few hours from 3 till about six. It was suprisingly quiet which was a pleasant suprise. Not a lot of activity fish wise but ended up with 4 macky, an undersize flounder and a size plaice. Zenith spinner for the macky and just macky strip for the two flattys. Oh yeah got an undersize lobster aswell. A nice couple of hours out the house and beat me mate who ended up with a solitary macky so gained another pint off him ha ha

from what i have heard about blyth pier over the past couple of weeks you've done well to get 4 macky. do you fish the end of the pier or at the bend ?

you need to be there for sunrise if you wanna catch a good number of makky iv found, iv came away after catching 30+ sometimes n the people that turned up at 6am had nout!

Yes i normally fish the end will90 and sunrise is the best time i find too ozzy. Yeah it was a proper mixed bag g.ordon but not as mixed as me drinks in the pub afterwards. Me mate was sick he was up to owing me three pints by then ha ha
