Fished during the day from just before 11am through to just after 2pm. Met up with sfj21, had a canny natter. Fishing was hard going, started off near the end but after snagging up on the first 2 casts and no sign of anyone catching owt I opted to move back closer to the shore, started getting the odd little rattle which turned out to be a rockling, soon after that pulled in a canny size whiting (both returned). Had a few more good bites that I'm guessing was more whiting but didn't connect with any of them. Saw a lad just around the bend pull in a few whiting but didn't seem to be much else.
sfj21 did almost catch himself a good sized nutter, some weird woman wandering the pier and hovering around just being, well, strange! Noticed her lying on the beach at one point!!

aye she was a bit of an odd one, never spoke a word to anyone either....
whitey was canny, belly was well stuffed - i'm guessing the fish had all fed so well at the weekend in the rough water that they just weren't on the feed yesterday.

Had a few hours there myself yesterday evening - lots of little rattles every five minutes, but only managed 4 whiting & 1 micro-codling. By about 9pm bites seemed to dry up so after another hour of next to nothing came off shortly after 10. Rather poor considering how it fished at the weekend. :(

You are talking about a fish aren't you. Don't tell me you returned and charmed her with your fisherman's tales :o

Nice meeting you again BTW.
