Blyth pier 3.01.09

arrived at 12.30am, there was a few fish on the bend as we walked up. 1 about 7lbish so things were looking good! few fish about a nice sea on wot more could we want???? set up near the end 2nd cast KINGCODDEANO got a codling about a pound, a couple of casts later ROBBIEBIGBAITS got a codling just over a pound, followed by KINGCODDEANO with a good whitey all returned safely!! still nee fish 4 me so our mars bar comp wasnt looking good lol. about an hour later robs daughter katie pulled in a nice flounder about a pound! so now im getting shown up of a 16 year old................until..............rod pulls over and i get a codling just over 2lb, 5 minutes later another codling about a pound n a half both returned to grow a bit bigger!! no double figures but good crack, won our little comp, and 1st 2 codling of 2010!!!!

I always make the same mistake for ages with the date and thats when i,m ok,
Nice to hear some fish about just debating wether to go today or not.

well done mate.....

i was also on blyth pier yesturday (right at the end) got there around 11:30 ish fished until 20:00 and never caught a thing! fished blyth a few times now and always go to the end but gonna try nearer to the bend next time!!

first time i have fished this mark and must say was very impressed at how tidy the beaches and pier was but it does get a bit hairy when you can feel the swells running under your feet all the way down the pier lol

well done sinky i was on the bend til about 16.00 yesterday packed up as me baits were comin back untouched perfect conditions. Had a feelin the night time would produce

Well done lads and lasses!, I fished the pier 3 times over the hols, not a sniff,but good luck to you all, you'll just have to show me where the fish are, next wk/end now work ugh!!!!
