Blyth Pier \"litter\"

lol that brings up some strange thoughts. Hope there was no one watching otherwise there would have been a comfortable white van waiting to take you home. wish i\"d been there with me camera.

the packet of papers got blown out me hand and into the sea

Nothing, but nothing kills a trip more. Even worse tho, I\'ve had sessions where I\'ve trudged miles, all set up, cast out, rolled a fag and then realised I\'ve left me zippo behind.

Me and holl\' were on North uist last summer, walked over an to get to the \'hot spot\' I\'d been tipped off about and found myself in the aboeve scenario. The poor bairn bless her volunteered to go back but I didn\'t have the heart, so I sent her scouting for drift wood and even tried rubbing 2 bits together to see I could light a fag.

Had a really good sesion on the fish front, but somehow it just wasn\'t the same.

There is now a pocket in my bag, in which, there is, double wrapped in snappy bags all the necessary components for such emergencies

I have a special bag of emergency goodies in my box now too Mark it only takes once to forget a lighter or such. twice is just stupid lol.

lmao great idea if they smoke ok you will be on to a winner. all the tackle shops will have them on the counter next to the everlasting peeler. Well i am going to bed to much humour for one night. you two have a good one. Jim.

Mark,
Can I place an order for some yet ?

Just a thought....if they\'re waterproof - what about the gummed edge? how would I get \'em to stick?
Would it not be like trying to invent de-hydrated water granuels - just add water????

Thought this post was drifting away down the list (bit like Sunderland)
I\'ll stick a few up on Blyth pier and down the quay side at Blyth,i\'ll get them laminated.I\'ll try and get in touch with a bod at the Harbour Commision can\'t amagine it being a problem (stranger things have happened though)
TC i\'ll pm you my address unless you still have it.
I think we have all dropped litter of some form or another but there is a difference between dropping it accidently and litterally dumping it.I would hate to go for a cuppa at one of there house\'s there\'ll be worms, beer cans, smelly rags, pools of p### all over the floor lol :casstet:

Yep, still got ya address, Alan - got your PM aswell.

I\'ll alter the poster to suit \"Blyth Pier\" instead of \"South Shields Pier\".

I\'ll run 10 prints off for you. I\'ll just do them A4 size, if you like, coz I\'m not sure if you have the facility to laminate A3 and I\'ll stick them in the post for you.

I must emphasise that you MUST have permission to erect them BEFORE you put them up. As you say, \"stranger things have happened\", and the pier owners could actually regard the posters as \"litter\", themselves. They WILL probably have no problems with you putting them up but may (as did the Port of Tyne), limit the numbers you can erect.

TC. would you mind if i used this for the scarborough area as I printed off the other campaign that we had on the old site and place them all over, but it has not stopped some, as i put on andy\'s site the post money to burn where I found a full packet of unfrozen gully worms another half packet three tubs of partially used mussells and a packet of unfrozen crab which had two left in, all bait was rotten.

It took me twenty minutes to empty the bait into the sea and clean up the litter this was at the sea life centre on the north side of scarborough and its not the first time it has been like that.

I don\'t mind at all, Gwyn.
Just change the wording to suit your location and remove the South Tyneside Council and Port of Tyne logos.

The version posted on this thread is only small, mind - not sure if it\'ll blow up well.
Let\'s know if you need a larger version and I\'ll get it to you.

Good idea;but just cant help the thought that the only thing they will clean and remove is the NESA Paper, you know what its like. :casstet:

Yep John,

I know exactly what you mean.
It didn\'t take very long for the ones I\'d put up (several times) on South Shields Pier to be \"tidied away\". :casstet:

Alan f.,

Got your posters done. Just need to get a stamp tomorrow (hope they don\'t get (too) delayed in the Christmas post).

This is what they look like.....
