Blyth Pier Sunday

Alright Lads, Me n 5 mates fished Blyth West Pier off the end but into the river and we had 5 size codling out best 2lb8oz down to 1lb4oz,also a couple of decent whiting around a 1lb and loadsa dabs some quite decent as well

We fished 10.45am to 5.15pm and nearly all the fish came on the turn of the tide in daylight but seemed to go off when it got dark[except the dabs]

All in all a good day even though i got pipped for the dosh by 4oz by the brother-in-law, baits were Fresh blacks,blow lug,rag,mussel but blacks and lug took all the fish

You must have caught them all, I was at the same place on tuesday from 1pm to 5pm & all I caught was kelp plants & masses of tangled line (twice). All I saw caught was a small coalie & there were about 10 blokes from the bend to the end at various times.

Aye we were on the end all day fishing into the river,2 of our mob were right on the bend and never had a touch all day
We done ok in the end but the lads on our right fishing seawards had next to nowt while we were there
