A bit of a report on blyth pier this morning set out at 6.30Am me and my daughter and got to the pier for 7.00AM fishind until 1.00Pm between us we had 10 sandeels one small coalie and a weaver fish. There was two mackeral that we seen come in this morning and that was all . Weather was canny good. We used spinning rods and tried a bubble float as well but no macky for us today.

you just missed them mate.
i was there at 4.30am, lost the 1st few, got 4 and a few launce, lost a few macky after that. never had a take for a good 1hr after that so called it a day. i was the big dopey looking kid about 50yds from the end, had a wee rex hunt style rod with a baitcaster multiplier on it (never used it lol)
they seem to come on the feed strong for the first 1.5 - 2hrs after first light, then die off
