wedensday we headed to blyth pier about 9ish after about 2 hrs and only an eal caught headed to the little pier in seaton sluice didnt realise how far that was to walk tide was nice and high by this time and straight in the coalies i had 14 and my pal had 18 it was a coalie a chuck down there none were keepers but it kept us entertained headed home about 3.30ish all in all good night out but £10 out of pocket due to getting beat on the coalie count......
 
did u walk from blyth to the sluice mate or did u drivr to the kings and park up then walk 2 the little jetty beta luck nxt time on ur bet mate

Blyth pier never got any better last night mate, I was on until 1am, with only a flattie & a coalie, hooks were stripped every time, crap night for all on there last night.

I like sluice for a bit of light gear coalie action. try round the back next time if you walk down the back of the pub and climb down you can fish from the rocks towards collywell bay - theres still a chance of the odd schoolie about round there and some decent cod pop up as well.

You need rod stand round there and what will it be like today with these tides.....true gundog coalies aren't the best fish but keeps us entertained and like ya say hopefully a big one will pop along today ....

fished tynemouth pier last sunday in a club comp the bairn had a coalie 1lb 14oz give him a bit of a scrap on his little rod
