Yes I have to add to this , the ammount of other peoples rubbish that I've removed from piers and other marks is unreal ,I know I'm not alone here , but if there was ever a reason to enforce a sea fishing licence then these muppets are in my oppinion a legitimate target that would make it worth paying .

a sea fishing licence wouldn't stop them they simply wouldn't get one, they'd take the chance, if they did get caught the fine they would get could be paid at a pound a week or something stupid since most of them aren't working or kids.
there are already a laws about dropping litter but it is very rarely enforced, roker pier is an alcohol free zone but always full of lager swilling p*** heads. any legisation / laws will never work unless they are enforced !

took the grandson along blyth beach fri counted a dozen larger cans washed up on the beach could have came from anywhere but the pier looks a good bet as there was just as many bags of larger as fish !! jamcod

was at blyth friday night the pier was was chokka everyone catching got 37 myself all on spinner all returned . fished that well deciced to go back saturday morning caught another 29 in 2 hours all returned . just a pity about the ar** ho**S who leave there rubbish there the pier is a tip.

They should use the same system as they do here in denmark.
you pay about 15p extra per can (beer or soft-drinks) which is then refunded to you when you return the empty can. there are machines in every supermarket or shops that sell cans and bottles. it really keeps the littering of cans and bottles to a minimum. some people make a fortune going around collecting empties left by the lazy lowts.
