Boat charter and jigging

Hi everybody. Does anyone know of charters that are based in the Newcastle area? My hands itch...I need to get myself out to sea sometime. What do you normally catch out at sea here in UK? Is jigging effective or do you just bottom fish using bait? Thanks.

Some jigging does take place but a lot of the boats do inshore uptiding at this time of year.

Expect to catch cod and whiting during the winter months.
