hi there im going out on my new boat 2morro to catch that big cod as any 1 no of good spots around hartlepool area and what bait to use

there are lots of good areas around but really without good gps/plotter and local knowledge it is hard to expalain where they are. obviously wrecks are really out of the problem but hard ground is either head up north about 3 miles off opposite crimdon caravans, 3 miles off the viaduct, you could head east and fish 5 miles off skinningrove on the ground around that area (if you head those ways and there are boats drifting the grounnd fish near them you can not go wrong loads of ling and cod on the grounds
