Just heard on the news the lifeboats are out looking for a boat missing from the Tyne. I missed the name of the boat but they said the crew are two brothers in their twenties from Tynemouth.

Hope they are found safe and sound!

There has been no reports that these two lads have been found safe and well yet.

Lets hope the rescue services find them quickly and safe.

Aye, Bri...let\'s all hope so.

Says in the Gazette tonight that the 2 lads are brothers in their early twenties (1 with an 18 month old bairn).

Can\'t imagine what the family must be going through.

Sad news...the search has been called off.

Reported on the local news that over 40 small fishing boats from the Tyne and ports all along the N.E. coast went out thismorning to assist in the search.

Heartbreaking end to a traumatic 24 hours for the family.

well tony that is a heartbreaker ,i was hoping for a good end to this one,it makes you stop and think for a while ,no news is good news so they say but my heart and wishes go out to the families of these 2 lads
not knowing must be worse than knowing and id hate to have to go through that :(

Would just like to let the familys of the 2 men lost at sea, know that i am thinking of them at this very sad time.
Also i think that is very good of all those who joined in the search to look for the lads! As well as all those pro\'s on land, sea and air.
My heart goes out to the familys, take care and god bless!!!

love claire x

I,v just found out whats going on, I was wondering what was going on this morning, whilst on my way to work, there were loads & I mean loads of boats out this morning as we passed Tynemouth , .. The sea was alive with what looked like fairy lights, we all said \"It looked like a seaside Xmass tree\" how wrong we were ,,,,,, all my thoughts ,,,,,,,,,, Cheers Jon XXX

If you didn\'t see the N.E. news on Tyne Tees tonight, you might find this had to believe.......not sure I woild\'ve believed it if I hadn\'t heard the Missions to Seamen spokesman and an RNLI rep saying it.........

Hopes were raised that the missing lads were ok when the search & rescue team spotted distress flares being fired in the South East end of the search area........after investigating they found that they\'d been set off from the shore to distract the rescuers

What sort of sick people are out there for Gods sake :casstet: :casstet:

If the persons who did that ,knowingly, did that, Id love them to be in the same situation, & see how they would react. thinking there brothers might still be alive,,,,,,.. thers some sick barstewards in this world.... Sorry Jon.. :casstet: :casstet: :casstet:

Really sad situation,we all love the sea but it can be a cruel place, thoughts go out to the families and friends and to all that helped in the search.

This sort of thing happens all the time. We are all disgusted that it does happen BUT. The people that set these flares off knew what they were doing. They are scum, there are also people that know about it, in my opinion they are worse, they can do something about it.
Some of them could be reading this, if you are please learn how to live with your concsious. I personally could not.
Sorry if this offends anyone it was not meant to, we were talking about this all night and I was asked to post this on NESA as some people in the bar thought it might make a difference. Personally without a conscience I don\'t believe it means a thing.

Jim.

Aye Jim, ya right.

We\'ve got fire engines and their crew being pelted with bricks when they attend to put out fires, ambulance crews attacked when they respond to call outs......looks like decoys for the sea rescue services is the latest activity for morons.

Dead right mate. I don\'t really want to say anything more on the subject but, If YOU know who set those flares off shop them. It is all they deserve.

Jim.

sickos sending up flares ihope they get shopped and done for it .there is a search of the sea bottom going on today four and half miles off shore.just two normal lads trying to make a living .so sad
