a mate at work has just bought a 26 ft fishing boat its moored at st peters basin. but dose anyone now where he can get moorings a bit cheaper. ie sunderland or in the tyne. he is currently paying £109 a month

when i had my boat in sunderland, fees for the chains were approx 4-500 per year, but there was a waiting list..

Fees on the pontoons were over 700 per year

I have my boat in sunderland marina mate quite a few people have took their boats out lately so there are some moorings available i\'d be suprised if you had to go on a waiting list another option is to join the wear boating association and get a mooring through them the club membership for a full member is about 55 quid a year they have a club house with the best pint of stella in sunderland regular fishing comps and social evenings a workshop and storage facility take a look at this link for the mooring prices

I dont think the harbour dues are on these prices so you\'ll have to add about 120 quid for them the pontoon moorings are a lot more expensive and the club do\'nt have any they only have moorings on the chains you\'ll find the prices for the pontoons on the link i posted
