Nice to see some good reports coming in. I hope the season carrys on as good as it's started

I fished off onyermarks up at the Mull yesterday but the big tides made fishing difficult but there were still a few tope landed. I did hook into and get one to the side of the boat but it was wrapped in the rubbing leader which made it impossible to gain line against a strong tide so Ian bouyed off the anchor and reversed into the fish to get it alongside.

A very enjoyable day and I also managed to get macky, herring and doggies onto the 08 species list

me and tony were down at ians for the weekend and he was telling us bout your bad luck with the xmas wrapped tope, at least you saw one. we fished 2 days from my boat and closest we got was a stinky old bullhuss.

a few pollack and some wrasse from round the mull made the saturday worthwhile but the sunday was soul destroying...

welllllllll......

maybe a few tins were consumed, but not the usual copious quantities...

it was the fishing that was bad, our club fished a match with 6 boats with 15 people and there was 1 tope caught 2lb 9oz....

we had 1 thornback at 5lb 5oz and a grey gurnard at 1lb exactly plus a million doggies and mackerel and pin whiting, not great...

Yer still a canny day.

I cant wait to get up Scotland again this year and alos get a trip away up Oban
