This will be my last comment on the matter and it goes to the original poster everyone has different opinions on the matter as you can see my advice would be to try it out and see if you like it if you don't well it never cost anything so no big deal

I have used 30lb and 50lb rods on wrecks ,and they are both just as good people should really add in my opinion ,before slagging another fisherman off ,
We are all different and prefer different methods of fishing .

big fish ,only me and deano exchanging point of view as far as i can see,but its not good for the forum i agree so if we all agree im right that be the end of it

Dunc you stand a much better chance getting a big ling out of a wreck using a 50lb rod opposed to a 20 so where's the bollocks in that
