well my cousin phoned me up before and said he had a place for 2 spare on a boat trip tomorrow. He is going with his school teacher and a few others. All FREE......just got to bring myself along.

my first time on a boat......lets hope i can hack it..wish me luck

Jonny, I\'ve just got back in from fishing all night.........sea\'s as flat as it gets.......shouldn\'t have any sea-sickness problems......fingers crossed.

well i am back now.....sick 8 times....

caught 120+ mackeral, kept 80
and my first pollock just under 4lb

The sea must\'ve picked up pretty quickly, Norman.....it was flat calm all night and we didn\'t leave until after 4:00am - the harbour was a bit choppy throughout the night though.

just handed 30 out in the street...kept a handful for scotland.....the rest for winter...unless enybody wants a few?

Aye Tony, left marina at about 5.15am and it was just gettin up a bit windy, should have been ok since it was westerly, by the time we met up with bert and gang at about 4 mile out it was sure blowin. Was a great ride out but very deceiving, when you stopped and turned against it there was lots of chop. Went further out to about 7 mile fished for about an hour then decided to come back in a bit but on the journey in decided couldn`t stop cos of the sea so just kept on till got to St Marys. calmed down a bit later about lunchtime.
PS saw dolphin (or porpoise) around the outermost green bouy in the harbour.
Had a few Wrasse today , all fairly big, good to see they are coming back to rough ground, does this mean other fish are coming back?

Had a very busy fish catching day today, a great amount of numbers, scotchies in pairs, lots of big whiting, coalies etc etc, great species and catch and release day.

well my first ever time..and i caught well over a 100 fish. even no they were all mackeral.....and 1 pollock...but thats my first pollock too...so all good.
