Any of you lads fish bog hall area on a regular basis? Im eckling on taking a trip up this thursday and wondered if anyone (if they are out of course) would be willing to show us a spot or two whilst there. I have done some homework on the marks but you can never beat local knowledge. Shy bairns get nee bullits n all that;)

what time are you planning on fishing ? as Im looking to go out tomorrow or thursday around that area & may be able to guide you ! (the best I can, im by no way an expert on the area, but I fish lynemouth - boghall- cresswell regular !
Sean

That would be brilliant mate, Looking at being up there for around 9.30-10am possibly earlier if we can but planning on staying until high water at 7pm ish. Not looking for any "experts" just the local knowledge mate. Do you live in the lynemouth area sean:question:

Make sure you get off boghall before high water or you'l be blowing bubbles mate.:D:D:D

Well looking at the forcast its giving east south east quite strong on Thurs, its not the best wind for fishing bogall is a south easterly mate.
A better bet for you would to go to cresswell, get there for 2hrs down to low water and fish it 2 hrs up.
Go onto the rock as it will be uncovered after about 3hrs-hw walk north east on the rock and cast the same direction.
As the flood gets about 2 hrs in make your way off, don't leave it to late or you can be cut off,if there's local lads on you can stop a little longer as you follow them off but yr be wading then.:).
I might be up meself not sure at the moment but I've got yr mb number.

Also if you want to fish the flood tide till 7ish no problem,as you come off the skeer and get to shore just walk north towards the sandy beach 200yds or so the skeer takes the sting out of the south east seas and you can fish it all the way up to high water...one of my favorite marks in a big s/east sea is this mark.

Hi, im going out for approx 6.30pm upto now, just hope the wind drops of, as someone else has said the way the wind & sea conditions are at the moment boghall will be unfishable, you will have to seek shelter on the private beach area or lyneburn ! Sean (Ashington).

No problem mate, which part is the private beach area? not to sure on which bit that is, i was hoping to gain access onto the beach just past the travellers site with the truck. If it is too big as harry has said might be best off fishing creswell rocks, wait and see what its like in the morning.

U'll be able to fish the square hole from Bog hall (North side) in a south easterly i would think. Just be carefull like with any mark and if it looks dangerous don't bother. Thats if you're going out to fish low water.

The private beach is along at cresswell, in front of the caravan site, high water shot, you can fish it after you come off the skeers, best of luck if you get out for a session.

Not for the want of trying but the only thing that bit for us today was a small rockling for my mate rob putting us level at 12-12, and the sausage bacon egg n beans sarnies that i rustled up in the back of the truck.

Bumped into keith and hes marra phil who managed one off bog hall and one off railway hole, good bit of crack and a little extra knowledge for the next time we are up. A few lads coming and going throughout the day with no luck either, a few lads fishing peggys with nothing to show. The sea was spot on if not a little on the big side late on, expected the numerous baits to produce, lug, rag, macky, peeler, prawn and even some razor off keith (cheers mate it will keep for next time ) There was even a couple of locals come down asked how it had been and promptly turned to go fish elsewhere altogether.

Good day out all the same nice bit off roading to boot, but like i said nowt to tek a picture of.

No problems at all accessing the beach sean, got some pointers off blokes collecting the coal also so hopefully got it sussed mate. Will keep your number handy for future reference though if thats ok with you marra.

Thats it i am hanging my gear up until sunday!
