You can fish from the beach half tide ebb to flood and this is now probably the best part of the hole. The skeers are in two parts and you need a good tide to get on the first part and a big tide to reach the end. There used to be a good hole close in to the skeer as the tide scoured it out but this seems to have disappeared over the last few years (since they took the sewer pipes out). Although the skeers are flat and easy fishing they do flood quickly so watch out. Always found the ebb better than the flood.
