Im fishing grafton mere this week but there is no website for the place. Can anyone tell me if there are any baits that can't be used? Also, any special tactics for the place would be welcome.

If you look down the freshwater page1 scroll down to Amazing day in Yorkshire, thats Grafton Mere.The lad will be able to give you directions, and as for bait you cant go far wrong with luncheon meat,sweetcorn,and worm should be fine,and experiment with different flavours till you find one that works.Good luck.

Take some trout pellet paste, bread and floating dog biscuits as well as the other baits mentioned above.

Carp take freely from surface, also method feeder is one of the best fish catching tactics on this water.

Don't be afraid to fish the margins with a float.

Had some really good days on this water.
