Had a launch up to boulmer way today, cracking day with just a very slight swell. Started fishing around 4pm very slow with the odd codling and a lonesome mackerel. Seal was bobbing about all afternoon but kept its distance. Last drift of the day produce the 8lb er, estimated as did'nt have any scales and I like to gut and fillet and chuck the waste into the sea. so in all a good day with another cod at around the 3lb mark. Was quite a paddle to get back in at the end its surprising how far you drift. All caught on Macky strip and hoki's.

I launch from from the beach at longhoughton but after the drag I had the other day Boulmer might be easier ! Not many yakkers up here at the moment mainly pleasure paddlers. I was expecting more macky but thats fishing I suppose.
