Braid help

Just got myself some braid for my fixed spool as I haven't used it before am not sure if I need to put shock leader on. The braid is 20lb and I was going to use it straight through but not sure so advice is needed

Yes put a shock leader for castng unless your just dropping over the side but even then I still would have some on incase you had to lift a decent fish up pier wall as the braid will cut into ur hands being so fine
