Braid knots

Just bought some braid (powerpro 20kg) for the first time the other day.

Was just wondering if anybody could give me some advice knot wise. Are there any specific knots that work better for braid or are people just using the same knots as they would with mono?

Secondly I've heard braid should be used with a mono leader - when boat fishing is the mono the daylights/hokkis are made with enough to suffice as a leader?

Any feedback appreciated

Cheers

double overhand loop to a snap swivel does fine for me...mebbes on clean ground a mono leader would work but for wrecks etc you'd just be tying leaders every other drift...

no leader mate, just braid to swivel using a palomar knot, its spot on:D

I like the look of that

Yer you dont want a leader for wrecks, be nothing but leaders floating around the wrecks snagged up as it would snap at the braid/leader knot more often than none. I have never used a leader and just set the drag right and never had an issue.

Knots wise, as stated above with a few extra twists just to make sure, once again i dont often lose the snap so the knot must hold :)
