ok guys i suppose this been asked before is the cheap braid from hong kong any good for beachcasting or should i get something else[ bit advice reqd here guys] i have just picked up a fixed spool reel with 60lb braid on it and fancy something around 30lb with a leader

I use Spectra from China. At the minute Ive got 20lb mainline with 60lb leader. Cant fault it for ease of use, not had a birdy since I started using it. The only thing is that the rod tip does bounce a little bit because of the zero stretch on the braid. Bite detection is great, just dont strike at a fish or you pull the hook straight out.

Mainly a multi/mono man myself but have 30lb spectra with an 80lb braided leader on my fxd spool/conti set up,never had a ring wrap/tangle yet,works well for me
