Braided line

Not strictly sea fishing related, but... I went still water fishing yesterday and tried braided line for the first time on my spinning reel - what a difference! I could feel everything the fish was doing - really going to have to change all my spinning reels now! every last move the fish was making could be felt! with the first bite the tip of my rod was going mental! I know people have said there is quite a difference but I have to say I was shocked by how much you can feel with braided line.

Good stuff isn't it.

I use it off the boat and on spinning reels. The other advantage, as well as the non-stretch sensitivity is the low diameter. It means that I can spin with 30lb line as easily as with 15lb mono nylon.

Its also good for float fishing.
