Used Braid for the first time last night and got a couple of tangles
What do you lads think caused this
not put on the spool tight enough(wor lasses fault for not holding the spool tight)

to much line on the spool or the westerly gale that was blowin
only lost about 30 mtrs didn't notice the tangles till reeling in

wrong colour braid imo.only joking nunthorpe,had the same problem myself few years ago,possibly to much line on spool.it only happened the 1st time for me.so hopefully you should be ok next time out.

Looks like a wind knot ive fished with braid a few times and had a few I only got them when I put plenty of power in my casts

Watched the the vid and I'm beginning to think that there was a hell of a wind last night at Whitby
changed back to mono and no problems

Best to underfill spools a little in my experience

M8 I started using braid 2 summers ago and had the same, expensive problem. I went through 2 whole spools before I figured it out.

As per previous advise given and defo dont use in high winds...also good idea to keep an eye on your spool when reeling in if there is a bit wind up
