sad to hear he\'s shuffled of this mortal coil.

good footballer, great manager, and liked a shandy or 2. Proper old school of football. Wish there were a few more like him still around

Very Sad, I hope we get to see a replay of him giving that fan a back hander!!! Imagine Dyer trying to tell him he didn\'t want to play on the right

They just showed it on the N.E. news Keith. Got to agree definately old school don\"t think we will ever see another one like him more\"s the pity.

Excellent bloke,i wonder what he would be like with \"todays\" players.shame the demon drink took hold of him,if he kept his health he could still have been managing now.I often wonder why he got overlooked as an England manager, maybe he was to straight laced for the FA.

Reckon he was too good for the england manager ... he`d have not towed the line ............ great manager .... football will miss him
Liked the old film where there was a pitch invasion and he took to clipping the lads around the ears himself ........ we need more of that

brian clough number 1

will be sadly missed

best england manager we never had
the fa should be ashamed of them selves

he wasnt a yes man, like the others
r,i,p.

i liked when he said
if a player doesnt agree with me
we sit down for 20 minutes have a discussion
then we decide i was right
