The annual holiday last week up at Brighouse and managed to fit a few short sessions in. I fished The back of the caravans on the rocks, Torrs point and Senwick graveyard but it was infested with dogfish at all 3 marks. Tearing into baits within a few minutes of each cast. I got some fresh crab turning over stones in the rockpools (yes I put the stones back ;-) and couldn't peel them fast enough to keep up at one point. Also tried all the usual frozen baits but the doggies attached them all with relish.
Also fished a session near Kirckudbright and caught a few small flounder for a change.
So a good weeks fishing I guess, but you do tire of dogfish after a while.
Of course as I was coming home I met a local who told me I should have been fishing at Auchenlarie - which apparently is fishing really well for hounds and tope. Maybe another time.
Will upload some pix when I get them off the phone.
