Well lads me and my mate Ian opted for some fishing close to home today so it was the good old Tyne again.
We got there and tide was still out but we still had water, heres a couple of views. First to the right with Ian setting up and second to the left.

Fishing was slow at first but Ian hit a couple of eels just a feww metres out. He got two straight after each other so score was 2-0.

I started panicking but when the river flooded the flatties came on. I was first to notch with this monster--and yes i did catch a smaller one later.

They started to get bigger as the day wore on and the river filled.

Ian had a couple of nice flatties with one at 35 cm but as the day wore on i took a steady lead with the likes of catches like this doubler.

Final score was 6-4 to me. Another good day with us having nearly all the walkway to ourselves.
Tight Lines Mick.

A good day out, I was planning on coming along but the lure of beer and a BBQ and a dip in my nieces padling pool got too much. I had to admit defeat and dip my toes in whilst drinking a couple of Coors.

Canny session mate, ive fished there 3 times and caught nowt. My lass works inn the AA, so whenever ive had bait to use up I hit there. I Fished on the Left side.

Where is the best place to cast, as ive found there must be sandbanks all over, as lead hits water it seems to hit botto straight away...

Well done on Fish...
