Well lads took a leaf out J.V,s book today and shot up to the Tyne for some cheap flatty bashing. 14 miles to get there in the motor. So quite close for Consett.
Took a packet of ten blacks from the freezer and some macky from the supermarket. Only two other lads there.
After about an hour of fishing with two rods this turned up.

Pleased cos i was, nt blanking.
Then on the TT these two turned up.

Bingo i thought and threw them back-----then i realised i had not used my species card.Luckily this other fella turned up on the Bass rod.

All in all canny sesh fished 11am until 3:30 pm.

ps could,nt help wondering if Cod came this far up--chucked some spare bluey out mid channel but no luck.

nice one, flattie bashin is great fun when ya just fancie a few hours out. one of my dads mate has had codlin up as far as the newburn boat marina so they can be had far up just not in many numbers and probably when a big tide pushes them up.

They are from Flea bay. Nee good for comps but ideal for my own photos.

Its canny but i,m glad i kept my Abu Suveron cos there is not much in it.
