what do people use,ive always bought ultima powerflex in 80lb on a 4oz spool so you get quite a bit,cant find it in that size only the smallers size spolls.anyone recommend a good leader in a good size spool

Frasers in Gateshead have ultima poweflex shockleader, 80lb in 4oz spools.

80lb powerflex clear is great for rig bodies but the 70lb in orange is a little thinner and nicer for leader and above all else very very strong and reliable.

If it's strong enough for the field your not going to pop it fishing.

Ultima went out of business a while back. I have only been able to get Powerflex in 50m spools. Guess supply is gradually drying up. Shame but I did manage to get 10x 50m spools of E-Bay at a really good price a few Months back..

for years now i have been using advantage from jims discount tackle £3 4oz spool never had any prods in about 10 yrs

You can defiantly buy ultima line again.

I asked in rutherfords the other day but he only had a 1kilo spool of shock leader (not powerflex) so I bought a small spool of leader of him.ive always bought it from blackdog but theres none on his web page.ill try local

If that's the penn leader he had it's very good I use it for rig bodies.

Yeah ultima back in business. I was also told ultima have instructed all stockist's to not sell the line at different prices if they do then they will no longer supply to that shop!!!
