You want to try using a penn spinfisher!

I "invested" in a 4400 last year and while the reel is beautifully engineered, I've never had so many crack offs and unwanted bail triggers.

It really does ruin an otherwise excellent tool and try as I might, I couldn't avoid repeated issues with the bail arm:red:

Mind you, it made me feel right at home among the Mackie bashers
