Well at least you had a day out Reg in all that glorious sunshine ,but it does knock your plug in when the seals are about , good luck for next time m8 .

stopping in our touring caravan, based up at berwick,so its just a few miles away.

Ah OK, nice one.Try the mark at the back of Eyemouth Caravan Park Reg. Easy scramble down and a lovely flat rock at the bottom. We did well there a couple of years ago.

We went 2nd week of October Steve. Fished with lug and ragworm. I hit a fish 1st cast. I thought it as a Bass the way it was fighting, very excited as I had never caught one before. Got it to the rock................bloody Mackerel!!

Also had Codling and Pollock. Great wee mark and no daft climbing!

Where abouts were you fishing Reg? Can't ever remember not catching anything at Burnmouth. There's always a codling sniffing about in the gullies, summer and winter.

used to go out on one of the crab boats from burnmouth with burnopfield angling club many years ago had some good fish from there,
the boat owner had married a lass from burnopfield that's how we started to go out with him on a weekend.
some great sport just offshore under the cliffs but a grave yard for tackle

Cheers for the crab Reg and it was nice to meet you. I'm afraid to say I didn't do much better!

Decided to fish golf course at Eyemouth after I left you. Caught the fish in picture on my first chuck and then nothing else on bait. I was spinning at the time, quite a few Coley about. Saw the big rod nod and some line clicked off the reel, thought I was into a Codling but sadly just this ugly fella (Scorpion Fish?)

Thanks again for the bait mate
