Butchery...

We just have them in a casserole Tony, a couple of handwipes for while your eating and Bob's yer uncle. I don't think it would be worth messing about taking meat from the bones.

Jim.

Casserole is best as Jim says, place jointed portions in casserole dish with onion, carrots and good beef stock. My grandad makes bunny burgers, quite tasty too!!

I will have to go and see my mate, I used to get Rabbit's off him regularly. I've not had a Rabbit casserole for years now. Talking about food is making me really hungry lol, it's not helped by the smells coming from the kitchen either. I've made a Leek potato and Ham soup and it's just cooking now, an hour or so and it will be ready, some crusty bread with the soup should help to kill the hunger a bit :p :p :D :D

if they are decent sized bunnies its not too bad taking the meat off the bone, I usually just bone the back thighs and the saddle.

rabbit curry is canny

rifle or air rifle??

if you've got a FAC I know of a nice .22 semi auto rimfire coming up for sale with a 100 round magazine and monster tele sights

Ideal for lamping, loving the .17hmr for the longer shots though.

Tony, if you apply for a FAC you must have a gun safe that is out of sight and ammo must be locked away seperately. Tell SWMBO this and she may change her tune. You can also purchase trigger locks etc etc.

Dumplings instead of ice, qualidy! Hang your ding dongs in instead, extra flavour etc.

Ahab said he'd left me a bird on Pandora - took me a while to get down on account of playing the "See who can listen to the death Rattle for the longest" game with my mam while me Nana shuffled off of the mortal coil. 5 days later made it to the boat expecting smells and hordes of flies. Just your usual stench of deisel and boat soup. Looked all over the wheelhouse for this vacuum packed pheasant, where the chuff is it? Stooped down to put me wellies on and swivelled face first into a git big stinky ostrich affair swinging from the "steering wheel" nearly **** :D Very funny skip! Got it home and chased me 4 year old nephew round the house with it for a whie, gave him one of it's feet as a present, with the tendon hanging out to assist in the fun. Me and our kid fettled it about 11:00 pm after a few sherberts and a quick you tube tutorial. Not a picking on the blighter, it had a chest like Billy Whizz from the Beano and legs like Douglas Bader. Didn't keep the feathers due to fear of infecting the stupid amount of fur and feather I've already paid fortunes for, for fly tying.

Just had a lovely game casserole tonight, I got the bit of meat - result :D
