hi lads am heading over t the lakes next week to fish buttermere n was looking for some advice to wat i should take gear wise

What species are you targeting mate?
Theres some nice trout in Buttermere which take the flee readily or theres some really good perch and other coarse fish to go for.Lobworms on float tackle is probably best for the bigger perch(not sure if maggot is allowed these days)and spinning for either of these can be productive,look for areas with rushes and a bit cover and be prepared to encounter some pike along the way!
If you get your baits deep enough theres a chance of an arctic char although I've never managed one yet
