If you really want to fish 4 then you will need a bigger boat than the ones suggested, possible the Jeanneau, warrior and the MG will do it but it will be a bit cramped to really fish 4 you will need to be in the reralms of a 20+ boat and in your budget it will start and get hard or old and costly

All the boats listed will carry 3 but you will just have to restrict what people carry as most anglers carry far to much gear and most of it is not needed, i have seen lads getting on charter boats with 3 rods each and more leads than is needed. All this extra weight costs money on extra fuel.

so be carefull and you will get a good package and have enough room, i see you say that they fish with you remember its your boat and if they want more room i am sure they will help you doubel your budget to get them all the room they need lol lol

hahaha yea am sure sean lol no we take a rod each and 1 spare the leads will be in 1 bucket and one bag each for rigs and bait last time i was on a charter the catch 22 lovly boat wish i could buy that one lol 3 lads come on with a seat box 2 rods each and a bag the skipper struggled to move around to help lads out of snags. we wont be doing much wrecking if any just hard ground really

All them boats will be ok for you some may need slightly bigger engines but good propping will get you away and then after you have had it a yaer or so you can decide wrther its a bigger boat or a bigger engine, selling on you wouldnt lose much if it wasd bought from the south coast as up north there is less for sale so prices are higher

well i spoke to the lad from plymouth and that boat i was looking at would do it for 8500 delivered am still tempted at that but need to look at the extra cost

I would still try and have a look at any boat you are going to buy, a picture might look nice but it doesnt show everything up.
I travelled to Shrewsbury twice for my current boat, and to Essex for my Merry Fisher 635. As Sean says boats up here are short in supply so prices are high....:)

Hi Phill

i put my package together myself but if you look at where most of it came from it was mostly the south of the country.

Boat south wales
engine south midlands
electronics chelmsford
rest of stuff dotted about but most was down south

I did however buy my boat without seeing it but it was brand new so i have piece of mind in the Hull waranty

my boat

Hi Phil its my wilson flyer in the marina thats for sale, there is loads of good advice been given on here by the guys but the the only way to find out for your self is to try the different types of hull a steady away displacment hull with a diesel engine that will do probably 5 to 10kts and you will probably fish 4 guys all day for a tenner or go for the fast fisher 20 plus kts but you could easily burn £60 and more with the older 2 stroke outboard. If you would like to compare the difference you can come and have a try, my mate has a colvic in the marina and you can have a try on them both if you want just give me a shout and no this is not a sales pitch just an offer of help if you need it, im in the middle of sourcing a 4 stroke outboard for my boat .

If you want to fish four up regularly I'd look at the Wilson, a165 will fish 4 but it's cramped , I can guarantee you if you buy a 165 and go out regularly with four blokes , this time next year you'll be looking for a bigger boat.
That Wilson is 23 ft , it's like a charter boat compared to the 165s , take the lad up on his offer and at least have a look at it , if not a run out in it.
I know nothing about the boat so I'm not suggesting you buy it, but if you climb aboard it ,and if possible take 3 mates with you, you will see the difference , each extra foot length on a boat makes a huge difference. Try the different sizes before you part with your cash ;)

you need plenty dosh in the bank if ya want to run ya outboards on the boat on these petrol prices these days many miles off unless ya have a couple lads to chip in on a trip out :D
