Buying Wholesale

How many anglers buy traces? making traces for me is part of the sport and catching fish on your own gear far more rewarding.

thats what i think keith but there's a lot of anglers out there that cant be bothered or cant get the hang of making them

I am the same as Sless, buy the daylights but make the rest of them as agree with Keith, half the fun is when you catch on something you have made for the 1st time at home.

Well good luck with it Wall but sounds like it could be alot of work for little money .

If you enjoy making them and it makes a contribution to your fishing costs, go for it. :)

I still buy the smaller macky daylites but make my own larger ones.

I also chop the royd rigs up and re-tie them, not too keen on some of the knots and those swivels they use.

I'm in the same boat as all of you - I make my own rigs but buy daylites and feathers etc

And with any of the bought rigs I always end up either chopping them up (nowt worse than having to deal with 5 mackerel going spastic on the deck) or changing the drop on the bottom of the rig - it's always too long

It'd be a hobby venture as opposed to a full scale Wallsend sweat shop
