Cambios Mark X 30/07/09

Hello lads, went to cambios pier as me m8 wanted to go there but got to say though, he hits on there better than blyth pier.

Anyway we both fancied some proper codling bashing and maybe the odd coalies etc so we fished the lighthouse just around the corner into rocks n sandy patches maybe the odd kelp.

Got on for 9pm and started fishing,
baits were (rag, mac, squid, razor, peeler & sand eels)

Was a nice night although i lost 1spool of shot, 3rigs & 8sinkers but thats cambios for ya

M8 caught a Codling at 10:54pm thumbs up.

M8 caught a Dab at 11:23pm.

I caught a 2/3 bearded rockling at 12:23am.

I caught a Codling at 12:41am so thats 1's each on the coddys

M8 caught another Codling at 1:01am thumbs up again, 1-2

M8 caught a Coalie same time as i caught a small Whiten at 1:48am (nice to see a coalie for a change).

I caught a Coalie at 3:02am nice.

M8 caught another codling at 3:10am, 1-3

I caught another Coalie at 3:13am.

I caught another Coalie at 3:28am.

I caught yet again another Coalie at 4:23am.

I caught a Dab 5:01am .

Caught about 23 Sand eels but hook 40 summit, was loads of sprats jumping and tons of sand eels, shame macky didn't show up on my end

Overall m8 got 5 and i got 8 plus sand eels... he beat me on the codling tho 1-3 nice one m8 good night anyway back out next week.

Its funny Richie mate I was thinkin why you were fishing blyth lately and here you are with a post lol well done and if you want the chance of a big one off there a big lump of peeler only and leave it for ages best time two hours back tide wise blast it as far as you can between st marys light and straight out to sea Nice one mate!

Ps all,
I broke my top eye on my salt bass 12ft because i did an amateur mistake, got a bite at 12:15 forgot to reel in slackish line and bang smack off the lighthouse wall! if it wasn't for my light on the tip of the rod my whole top section would of smashed to bits! didn't mention this before, because u would of all forgot about my catcheslol anyway getting top eye fixed & ill be owt again in no time...

lol i surprised you thats all, will try your tip there ivan see if it works.. fish were catchin when the tide turned! im expecting bigger things this winter m8ty.

You know the score about mark x at cambios, so dont stir the pot lol haha thanks for tha sly joke, and aye was another good night owt, the weather was spot on all night through morning.
