wel headed out at 6 last nite to the pier got to the end around 6.30 first hoy lands a codling 1.5lb couple of hoys later another around the same size by this time it was 8 and tide was well in so i headed further back up the pier to another shot again first hoy fish 2lb any how this carried on for a while had a canny night landing 9cod and a coalie best going 3.5lb my mate also managed two fish both size codlings also will post pics when i get in from work tonight.

the fish by its self was 1st fish caught and was released along with my mates 2 thats why its not in te photo with the others.

why not mind r own buisness m8 if a want 2 keep fish i will i keep what the old folk ask for as i get my bait money back for it seen as i spend enough on it i also put a fair share back 2 when not asked for if thats ok with you.

well said mate we spend enough time and money on fishing so when you get a good catch why should you be criticized and well done on the catch nice one.

Fair enough if it was a match. But thers no need to keep so many just say size fish just to get your bait money back. We are always complaining about the trawlermen taking so many fish at such a small size. So with acts like this we now dont have a leg to stand on.

welldone mate on the catch they nowt compared to the trawlers have flung ower the side dead atleast they will be eat and not dumped take no notice of jealous folk cos they struggle to get codling people dont realise most fish dont make it when hook is set deep into the guts and damage the fish trying to unhook them ,light hooked ones go back under 2lb mark nowt wrong with the catches good job

What would you have done released all fish and weighed in nothing? When there is big prize money to be won and another big comp under your belt.
6 fish is nothing in comparrison to what damage the trawlers do to our coastlines.
