Well me & two mates headed out last night, hoping to fish Lynemouth beach, we had a look along towards bog hall & the sea looked spot on, so we all agreed on Lyneburn (behind Alcan), we got are selfs sorted and headed off to our spot, We just got through the fence & two lads were coming off ! we had a bit crack & they said it was totaly unfishable- so we took there word for it - they were heading back to blyth beach (they said they had been earlier on & conditions were perfect ), we headed for cambois pier !, we got on the end for approx 8pm, two lads on he end (nowt since 4pm), two lad just before the end (also blank), we set up & myself started off with the fish, first 3 chucks , result 3 fish, 1.5lb, 4.5lb, 3lb.
Then my mate hit the fish, one after another, I must say he done better than me, with a lovley 7.5lb cod, 4.5lb, 3lb, all keepers, we also had a few about 1.5lb - 2lb which were returned, all in all we had 1 x 7.5lb - 2 x 4.5lb - 2x 3lb - 4 x 1.5lb, it was the best night we have had for a while, my other mate blanked ! On leaving the pier it got a bit hairy, sea had picked up & the water was clashing the top & over, so it took us a while to get off safe !
We left at about 2.00am & had a bit crack with another angler that was fishing the rear off the binns, then two others came to give the rear of the binns a shot, (I think the sea was far to rough for that area, but hope they done well), we showed are catch & headed home, The photo's of our catch were very poor so are not uploaded, they are here if anyone wants any proof ! Imust say a big well done to Steven & a hard lines to Ant on his blank!
Best Regards Sean !
